How to Obtain National Health Certificates for Your Pet
National Travel
If you’re traveling within your own country, you may not need a health certificate for your pet. However, it’s always a good idea to check with your airline and destination to confirm their requirements. Some airlines may require a health certificate for pets traveling in the cargo hold, while others may only require it for international travel.
To obtain a national health certificate, you will need to schedule an appointment with us. We will perform a physical examination of your pet and make sure they are up-to-date on all necessary vaccinations. We will then issue a health certificate, which is usually valid for 10-30 days depending on the destination.
Internationally Travel
Traveling internationally with your pet requires more preparation and documentation. Each country has its own specific requirements for pets entering their borders, so it’s important to research these requirements well in advance. Some countries may require additional vaccinations or tests, while others may have strict quarantine regulations.
To obtain an international health certificate, you will need to visit us and provide us with the specific requirements for your destination country. We will perform a thorough examination of your pet and may need to administer additional vaccinations or tests. Once your pet is cleared for travel, we will issue a health certificate and any other necessary documents.
